Workshop 3

Policy to nourish innovation: NGI trust Marks

Europe has a very strong reputation when it comes to producing high-quality and safe products, from cars to food. Can we do the same in the digital space? What if we created trusted quality marks for software, apps and hardware devices, designating technologies that handle our data in a responsible manner, are privacy-aware, allow for data portability, have a limited environmental footprint and cyber secure? In this highly interactive workshop we explore the opportunities trust marks offer and collectively identify which metrics we could use to determine if a technology is human-centric or not. We will also co-design both the mark itself and think about how it should function.

SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
